The dogs below are some of our most desperate cases. They have not only received poor health care, but a life without love. These dogs are in need of both financial and emotional support. You can help better their lives by donating through the PayPal link provided; all financial donations will go to their veterinary care with any remaining funds going to other Corsos in need. Once these dogs have been given the all clear from their vet, they will need foster and forever homes. You may apply to foster or adopt through our online applications on this site. Your support is greatly appreciated! |
VENUS
Venus is a 4 year old Cane Corso from a shelter in Florida. She is currently in a wonderful foster home, but is in desperate need of mange treatments. Once her hair grows back, Venus will be a stunning example of the breed, we just really need your financial help to get her treatment going! |
SOLEIL
Meet Soleil. She looks healthy enough here but looks can be deceiving! Soleil has been our most expensive rescue case so far! You see, she was spayed by the shelter and picked up by a CCAA foster angel a few days later. When her foster mom got her home, she noticed blood coming from Soleil's spay incision. A terrible infection was brewing inside and she quickly became unstable and in dire need of emergency surgery. We opted to keep her stabilized overnight, so the surgery could be performed by the foster homes trusted vet on a non-emergency basis. When they did open her up the next day, they found many things had gone wrong during the "spay", including her ovaries were still inside her!! To make a long story short, we have a large vet bill for Soleil. We would appreciate any donation, no matter how small. We are also looking for a lawyer to help us try to recoup some of this money. |

CONAN

I am a young boy, only about 14 months old. I was dumped in a shelter with a severe case of mange. My paws are swollen three time normal size, my face is scabbed and bleeding, as are my genitals. While most would consider being dumped in a shelter a sad thing, this has been my only chance at a healthy life. I am already receiving treatment, but have a long way to go until I am the beautiful boy I should have been. Even in my highly uncomfortable state - I can barely go a minute without scratching! - I am a sweet, friendly boy. Your help will ensure I get my beautiful coat back and can leave a life of itching and bleeding behind.
UPDATE: I'm now in a home with a very nice mom named Jenn who is trying to cure me. Read Jenn's
live journal about my trials and tribulations. |

CCAA Rescue is also paying to treat
Moose and China in Texas for Heartworm. They were found in a shelter, very underweight and sickly. They are in the middle of their treatment and doing very well at this time.

LADY FAWKES

Lady Fawkes, aka Rennie, was found as a stray, running around Philly in this condition. She looks to have been burned, by either fire or possibly acid. Her hair is missing on her head and neck, her skin is badly scarred, her ear is basically gone, and she has a large abscess/infection on her head. Even in this condition, she was brought into the shelter and had tail wags for everyone! A true testament to our breed! She is currently in her permanent home receiving the care that she needs, although CCAA rescue incurred quite a few medical bills while she was in foster. |

MILLIE
Millie was an extreme case of emaciation and spent her first 3 weeks at the vet where she received IV fluids, vitamins, and plenty of meals. Most people that looked at her thought she should be destroyed, but Millie had a will to live. Millie has gained most all her weight back in foster care and is awaiting a spay and entropia surgery.
Due to the vet bills Millie has already incurred, the eye surgery will be done by Dr. Allison Sarno pro bono for CCAA rescue. Thank you Allison! You can see a recent picture of Millie on the foster page. |
We never imagined when we started CCAA rescue, that we would be helping so many
Corsos. Or that there would be so many Corsos in need! Please donate what you can; every little bit will help!
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
